About Us:

We are a startup funded by Blackbird, Icehouse Ventures and K1W1. We build tools that keep communities safe with security technology. To do this, we are solving extremely challenging engineering problems in the IoT space (Think IP Cameras, door access controls and various IoT sensors). Our platform ingests millions of potential threats a week, which we apply machine learning models such as Object Detection, Large Language Models, and Pose Detection to surface only what truly matters to our users.

About the Role:

We are on the hunt for a passionate Software Engineer to focus on our core product. You will have high ownership of large projects and initiatives while working closely with customers.

This is an exciting role where you will get to work on a wide variety of tasks, ranging from implementing a new AI feature such as AI feedback and action items on the performance of a site, optimizing our event ingestion pipeline to ensure we are keeping ahead of the scaling curve, or sitting in on a user testing session to see how customers are using our software.

Key responsibilities:

• High level of ownership from idea through to delivery, you will be instrumental in planning, shaping, executing and supporting the entire development process
• Working closely with and communicating regularly within an interdisciplinary team. We aim to have all product delivery roles work extremely closely together every step of the way
• Ensuring customer centricity is at the heart of all of your day-to-day decisions

What do I need to be successful?

• Ability to make edge decisions autonomously, applying principles such as the lean methodology, as well as identifying when it’s appropriate to loop in team members
• Excellent cross functional collaboration, you are effective at working with all functions of the business, customer success, sales, and within the product engineering team, design, infra, and product
• Ability to take ownership and use initiative to manage your own work

Experience in the following is ideal but not limited to: TypeScript, C#, REST APIs, React.
