About Us:

We are a startup funded by Blackbird, Icehouse Ventures and K1W1. We build tools that keep communities safe with security technology. To do this, we are solving extremely challenging engineering problems in the IoT space (Think IP Cameras, door access controls and various IoT sensors). Our platform ingests millions of potential threats a week, which we apply machine learning models such as Object Detection, Large Language Models, and Pose Detection to surface only what truly matters to our users.

About the Role:

We are on the hunt for a passionate Software Engineer to focus on our integrations platform. This is a unique opportunity to work with cameras and play a pivotal role in shaping how our product connects with a variety of systems. You will have high ownership of large projects and initiatives while working closely with customers.

This isn’t your standard integrations role, alongside building integrations, you will be responsible for expanding upon the integration platform, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and allows us to move very quickly with our just in time integrations approach. You will be constantly evaluating how we can speed up our time to market with integrations, whether that be by improving testing tools, setting up an AI copilot for our integrations or building an application that can autonomously build an integration with supervision.

Key responsibilities:

• High level of ownership from idea through to delivery, you will be instrumental in planning, shaping, executing and supporting the entire development process
• Working closely with and communicating regularly within an interdisciplinary team. We aim to have all product delivery roles work extremely closely together every step of the way.
• Ensuring customer centricity is at the heart of all of your day-to-day decisions
• Keep on top of our constantly expanding list of integrations needing to be built

What do I need to be successful?

• Ability to work with technical partners to obtain technical documentations.
• Excellent communication skills to resolve and identify familiar issues, as well as implement minor improvements on existing systems.
• Ability to resolve familiar issues and create new functionality, as well as implement minor improvements on existing systems.
• Ability to take ownership and use initiative to manage your own work.

Experience in the following is ideal but not limited to: TypeScript, Back-end experience, REST APIs, Integration.
